Equality Strategy Development

Working with organisations to design and implement comprehensive equality and inclusion strategies tailored to the needs of their business and compliance with legal duties.

This includes policy and strategy analysis and aligning strategies with legal requirements (e.g., Section 75 duties, Fair Employment and Affirmative Action, Ethnic Equality Monitoring).

Policy Review & Compliance

Working with Business Units to review existing policies and produce effective, realistic and compliant equality screening and impact assessment that acknowledges the “Brown Principles” and the continuity of the duties.

Training & Awareness

Developing tailored bespoke training and/or workshops to staff and leadership teams, addressing key equality principles and legal responsibilities including Equality Awareness, Equality Monitoring (internal and external), Policy Screening and Impact Assessment, Consultation and Engagement and Maintaining your Equality Scheme.

Additional Services

Working with Teams to produce Disability Action Plans, Five Year Equality Scheme Effectiveness Reviews, Audits of Inequality, Effective Communication Support (Sensory, Linguistic and others).

28 Years Experience

28 years working within the field of Equality and Human Rights in the public sector in Northern Ireland.

Track Record

Worked as Head of Equality for a major public body in addition to extensive experience in working with a wide range of public bodies in Northern Ireland in a consultancy role.
